Xerox 6604

The Xerox Wide Format 6604 Solution is a low-volume mono wide format MFP built on the 6204 print engine — designed for architecture, engineering, and construction shops that print CAD plots in-house and want copy and scan on the same chassis. It runs 4 D/A1 prints per minute at 600 x 600 dpi, supports media up to 36 inches wide and 49.2 feet long, and ships with one roll drawer plus a single cut-sheet inserter (a second roll drawer is optional). The integrated 15-inch color touchscreen runs FreeFlow Accxes Print Server, which handles concurrent print/copy/scan, hot folders, and scan preview so you don't waste a 36-inch sheet on a misaligned original. The on-board scanner is 600 dpi color-capable, useful for archiving red-line markups or scanning to mailbox / network folder / remote printer. Recommended monthly volume sits around 60,000 sq ft (roughly 1,500-2,000 D-size plots). Footprint is 61 x 59.8 x 27.6 inches at 578 lb, which is small for the class. The thing buyers regret: it is mono only and Accxes-era — if you need color plots or modern cloud scan workflows, this is the wrong machine.
