Xerox Color 1000i Press

The Xerox Color 1000i Press is the top of the Color 800/1000 family — a cut-sheet color production press for commercial print shops, marketing services providers, and in-plants running 150,000 to 400,000 color clicks a month. It prints at 100 ppm letter / 50 ppm A3 / 50 ppm SRA3 across all weights from 55 gsm to 350 gsm coated and uncoated. The Color 1000i adds three things over the base 1000: an inline Specialty Dry Ink station for Clear, Silver, and Gold metallic effects (up to 7 multi-pass layers); Full Width Array as standard for automated TRC calibration and density uniformity; and Xerox IntegratedPLUS Finishing for the Plockmatic Pro 50/35 booklet maker (up to 200-sheet booklets at full rated speed). Print resolution is 2400 x 2400 dpi VCSEL ROS with Xerox EA Low Melt Dry Ink. Monthly duty cycle is 1.75 million pages. Standard paper capacity is two 2,000-sheet trays; the OHCF adds another two for 8,000 sheets total. Auto-perfecting duplex at full rated speed up to 350 gsm. Finishing is modular: Catch Tray, High Capacity Stacker (5,000-sheet offset), Standard Finisher (3,000-sheet stacker, 100-sheet stapling), Booklet Maker Finisher (saddle-stitch up to 25 sheets / 100 imaged sides), SquareFold Trimmer Module (2-20 mm face trim), GBC AdvancedPunch, GBC eBinder 200, plus DFA options like Plockmatic Pro 50/35 and CP Bourg BSF. Print server: Xerox FreeFlow Print Server or Xerox EX-P 1000i Print Server powered by Fiery (with HyperRIP). Power: 200-240 VAC 50A single-phase, Hubbell C8264-C. Footprint 118.5 x 43 x 74 inches base, 3,027 lb. The thing buyers regret: speccing the metallic Specialty Dry Ink without a proven sales motion. Silver and Gold dry inks add real cost per click — confirm your customers will pay the premium before lighting up the 5th color station.
