Xerox Color 570 Printer

The Xerox Color 570 Printer is the top of the Color 550/560/570 family — a floor-standing A3/SRA3 color laser multifunction printer for in-plants, commercial print shops, and marketing services providers printing 20,000-80,000 color pages a month. It runs 70 ppm color and 75 ppm B&W at letter/A4, with 35 ppm color / 37 ppm B&W at 11x17/A3, and a 300,000-page monthly duty cycle. Print resolution is 2400 x 2400 dpi using Xerox EA toner with Ultra Low Melt Technology. The 250-sheet DADF copies and scans up to A3 at 50 ppm color / 75 ppm B&W in copy mode (80 ppm B&W in network scan). Standard paper capacity is 3,260 sheets across bypass plus four trays (500/500/870/1,140); expandable to 7,260 with the 2-tray Oversized High Capacity Feeder. Sheets from 4 x 6 inches (bypass) up to 13 x 19 inches / SRA3, weights 64-300 gsm coated and uncoated, auto duplex up to 220 gsm (most A4/letter/A3 stocks). Choose between built-in Xerox Integrated Color Server, optional Xerox Integrated Fiery Color Server, external EX Print Server (Fiery), or Xerox FreeFlow Print Server. Finishing is modular — Offset Catch Tray, Advanced Finisher, Professional Finisher (saddle-stitch booklets up to 15 sheets), Standard Finisher with Booklet Maker (saddle-stitch up to 25 sheets / 100 imaged sides), GBC AdvancedPunch, SquareFold Trimmer Module, C/Z Folder. FIPS 140-2, EPEAT Bronze, ENERGY STAR (Common Criteria pending). Footprint is 62 x 31.6 x 54.8 inches base unit (~604 lb). The thing buyers regret: choosing the Color 570 when the workflow is really single-function production. If you don't need the integrated A3 DADF, the Xerox 770 Digital Color Press is the same engine class without the MFP overhead and integrates more cleanly with FreeFlow production workflows.
