Xerox's DocuColor 5000AP is the AP variant of the DocuColor 5000 — same 50-ppm engine but bundled with the AP (advanced productivity) options that include the high-capacity feeder, advanced color profile, and PowerPak Plus controller upgrade. Monthly duty cycle is 300,000 pages, paper capacity reaches 6,755 sheets standard or higher with the HCF, and stocks 64-300 gsm up to 14.33x19.21 inches are supported. Resolution is 2400x2400 dpi. The Fiery or Creo controller handles VDP, ICC, and JDF. One regret: as a fully optioned 5000, this is the version most commonly found refurbished — but it's still EOL, so parts and toner availability remain the gating concern.
