The Xerox VersaLink C8000/DT is a graphic-arts-class A3 color laser printer for in-house creative and marketing teams that need real production color but don't want the price or footprint of a C9000 or PrimeLink. It prints up to 45 ppm color and black on letter (long-edge feed), 26 ppm on legal, and 22 ppm on 11x17 or 12x18 SRA3 — bypass handles up to 12.6 x 19 inches and banner stock up to 12.6 x 52 inches. First page out is 11 seconds for both black and color, resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi, and the unit is rated for a 205,000-page monthly duty cycle (Xerox recommends up to 20,000). Standard paper capacity is 1,140 sheets (100-sheet bypass + two 520-sheet trays — the /DT designation), expandable to 5,140 sheets with the Two-Tray Module, Tandem Tray Module, or 2,000-sheet HCI. EA toner plus Adaptive CMYK Plus color management deliver near-offset quality on coated stock — this is what the C7000 buyers wish they'd bought. Optional Office Finisher LX, Booklet Maker, and BR Booklet Maker Finisher add stapling, hole punching, and saddle-stitch booklets. The thing buyers regret: ordering it without the HDD. Plan for the 320 GB HDD if you need secure print or any job storage.
