The Konica Minolta bizhub 308 is a floor-standing B&W A3 multifunction for workgroups of 15-35 people that need tabloid-size mono output, color scanning, and real headroom. It runs at 30 ppm B&W on A4/letter (15 ppm on A3/11x17), posts a 5.4-second first-copy-out and a 20-second warm-up, and is rated for 150,000 pages a month — Konica's recommended sweet spot is around 10,000/month. Standard paper input is two 500-sheet drawers plus a 150-sheet bypass for 1,150 sheets; max capacity is 6,650 sheets with the LU-302 3,000-sheet large-capacity tray plus PC-410. Print resolution is 1800 x 600 dpi equivalent or true 1200 x 1200 dpi. 4GB total memory and a 250GB HDD are standard, so User Box, encrypted PDF, and fax-to-folder work out of the box. The 9-inch INFO-Palette multi-touch panel is tablet-fast — swipe, pinch-zoom, drag-and-drop — and supports panel customization plus 3rd-party web apps via the standard browser. Color scanning runs up to 160 ipm with the optional DF-704 single-pass dual-scan ADF (or 80 ipm with the DF-629 reversing ADF), with destinations to email, SMB, FTP, User Box, USB, WebDAV, DPWS, and URL. Mobile printing covers AirPrint, Mopria, and KM Print Service standard. The thing buyers regret: 11x17 prints at half the A4 speed, so heavy tabloid users should size up to the 368 or 458.
