Konica Minolta bizhub 36 Multifunction Printer

The Konica Minolta bizhub 36 is a desktop B&W A4 multifunction printer for small offices and workgroups of 5-15 people that need letter/legal mono output without paying for color or tabloid. It runs at 36 ppm B&W with a first-copy-out around 8.5 seconds and a 75,000-page monthly duty cycle. Most installs we've sold sit between 1,000 and 3,500 pages a month, well under wear. Standard paper input is a 500-sheet drawer plus a 100-sheet multi-purpose tray, expandable to 850 sheets with the optional PF-507 second drawer. Print resolution is 1200 x 1200 dpi. The 5.7-inch color touchscreen handles scan-to-email, scan-to-folder, and basic copy workflows; 50-sheet reversing ADF runs duplex copying and scanning. Scan destinations include email, FTP, SMB, and TWAIN. Duplex print and copy are automatic. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 2.0 standard, with optional Wi-Fi and Super G3 fax. The thing buyers regret: there's no single-pass duplex scanning option — for heavy stacked-original scanning, the 4050 or 4750 desktop is the better choice. Footprint is desktop-friendly at 18.5 x 19.7 inches, and the unit weighs about 50 lb so a single tech can move it. Discontinued — buy refurbished or move to the bizhub 4050i / 4750i successors.
