Lexmark MX320/420 Series

The Lexmark MX320/420 series (MX321, MX421) is the entry-tier desktop mono laser MFP for home offices and small teams of 1-10 that print 500-3,500 pages a month and want one machine that does print/copy/scan/fax without paying for workgroup hardware. It prints and copies at up to 38 ppm, scans through a 50-sheet reversing ADF, and is rated for a 60,000-page monthly duty cycle (Lexmark recommends 500-4,000/month). Standard input is 350 sheets across the 250-sheet tray and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder, expandable to 900 with an optional 550-sheet tray. MX321 ships with a 2.8-inch monochrome display; MX421 steps up to a 4.3-inch e-Task color touchscreen. Wireless is built into the MX321adw and MX421adwe; the MX321adn is wired only (Gigabit Ethernet + USB 2.0). The thing buyers regret: assuming the small ADF can scan a 20-page contract quickly. The reversing ADF works but is meaningfully slower than the single-pass DADF on the MX520+. For pure desktop print at 38 ppm with occasional scan/fax in a sub-17-inch footprint, the MX320/420 series is the entry-volume Lexmark mono MFP.
