Lexmark MX520 Series

The Lexmark MX520 series (MX522adhe) is a desktop mono laser MFP for small offices and teams of 3-15 that print 2,000-10,000 pages a month and want workgroup speed in a desktop chassis. It prints and copies at up to 46 ppm, scans through a 50-sheet single-pass duplex ADF (90 sides per minute duplex), and is rated for a 120,000-page monthly duty cycle (Lexmark recommends 2,000-15,000/month). Standard input is 350 sheets across the 250-sheet tray and 100-sheet multipurpose feeder, expandable to 2,000 with optional 550-sheet trays. The 1.2 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB standard memory and 4.3-inch e-Task color touchscreen handle scan-to-network, held jobs, and Lexmark Cloud Services. The MX522adhe model adds an internal hard drive. Standard connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus dual USB 2.0; Wi-Fi is optional via MarkNet N8372. The thing buyers regret: the small 50-sheet ADF when scanning multi-page contracts or invoice stacks. If your scan jobs run 20+ pages routinely, jump to the MX620 (100-sheet ADF + 7-inch touchscreen) or MX720 (150-sheet). For pure print + light scan at 46 ppm in a desktop footprint, the MX520 is the right call.
