Xerox AltaLink B8045

The Xerox AltaLink B8045 is a floor-standing A3 mono laser multifunction printer built on the ConnectKey platform for workgroups of 30-100 people. It prints and copies up to 45 ppm at 8.5x11/A4 and 31 ppm at 11x17/A3, with first-page-out as fast as 3.9 seconds and a 175,000 page monthly duty cycle (Xerox recommends 15,000-75,000 pages/month). The 200-sheet single-pass Duplex Automatic Document Feeder scans up to 200 images per minute B&W duplex — one of the strongest scanners in this speed class. Standard paper capacity is 1,100 sheets (500+500 in trays 1 and 2 plus 100-sheet bypass), expandable to 4,600 with the High Capacity Tandem Tray (1,600+2,000) and to 8,000 with the optional 3,300-sheet HCF. The 10.1-inch color ConnectKey touchscreen runs Workplace Suite, the Xerox App Gallery (Box, Dropbox, OneDrive, Office 365, Salesforce), and the unified address book that spans the whole AltaLink fleet. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 2.0 standard; Wi-Fi Direct, NFC, and Apple AirPrint are optional via the USB wireless adapter. McAfee Embedded Control, AES 256-bit drive encryption, FIPS 140-2, and Common Criteria HCD-PP v1.0 certification cover the security checklist for legal, healthcare, and gov customers. The thing buyers regret: paying for A3 they don't use. If 90% of your jobs are letter/legal, the smaller VersaLink B600 series gets you most of the way at a third the footprint.
