The Xerox WorkCentre 5855 is a 55 ppm A3 monochrome MFP from the 5800 series, aimed at workgroups and small departments running 80,000-150,000 pages monthly. Duplex DADF handles two-sided originals in one pass, output runs 1200 x 1200 dpi, and standard paper handling around 2,100 sheets expands via high-capacity feeder. Finishing options cover Office Finisher LX and the optional High-Volume Finisher with stapling, hole punch, and booklet making. Wi-Fi is optional alongside Ethernet and USB. Security includes 802.1x, SSL, SNMPv3, AES encryption, and Secure Print. The regret on this one: 5800 series is end-of-life and pricing on refurbs is fair, but the 5855 sits in an awkward spot — the AltaLink B8055 is the modern equivalent with current support, so weigh the refurb savings against the support gap. Toner cartridge yield runs in the 40,000-page range and the touchscreen UI is closer to current Xerox styling than the 5700 series.
