The Lexmark CS820 Series jumps the speed ladder to 60 ppm for both black and color, with first page out at 7 seconds, 1,200 x 1,200 dpi black and 4,800 Color Quality, and a 200,000-page monthly duty cycle (5,000-25,000 recommended). The 1.33 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM (expandable to 3 GB) handles the load, and toner yields hit 33,000 pages black and 22,000 pages color — these are real high-yield consumables that cut interruptions. Standard input is 650 sheets, expandable to 4,500. Output is 500 sheets with a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder. Connectivity covers USB 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and optional Wi-Fi. It's a single-function printer with a 4.3-inch touchscreen and the Lexmark embedded Solutions Framework for custom apps. The catch: this is workgroup-class hardware at workgroup-class pricing. If you're under 5,000 pages a month, you're paying for capacity you'll never use — a CS720 will pencil better. And if you need scan/copy, the CX820 is the MFP version on the same chassis.
