Xerox VersaLink C7000DN

The Xerox VersaLink C7000/DN is an A3 (11x17) tabloid color laser printer for workgroups that need oversized output in-house but don't need scan, copy, or fax. It prints up to 35 ppm in both black and color on letter (long-edge feed), 22 ppm on legal, and 19 ppm on 11x17 or 12x18 SRA3 — with bypass that handles up to 12.6 x 19 inches. First page out is 5.1 seconds black / 7.6 seconds color, resolution is 1200 x 2400 dpi, and the unit is rated for a 153,000-page monthly duty cycle (Xerox recommends up to 10,000). Standard paper capacity is 620 sheets (100-sheet bypass + 520-sheet Tray 1), expandable with the optional Single Tray Module, Three Tray Module (097S04908), or stand. The 5-inch capacitive color touchscreen runs Xerox ConnectKey apps; an optional integrated office finisher (Type A) adds stapling. Connectivity is Gigabit Ethernet plus USB 3.0 standard; Wi-Fi/NFC are optional. EA toner gives noticeably better color quality on coated stock than the C500/C600 — this is the entry into Xerox's serious color line. The thing buyers regret: ordering it for letter-only workflows. If you don't need A3, the C600 is faster and smaller.
